Both league leaders suffered their first defeats of the season in an intriguing 15th round of the Spanish League over the weekend. 

Club de Campo not only has suffered its first loss in the men’s league, but also dropped to third on the points table with a 5-2 defeat by Real Club de Polo. 

Atlétic de Terrassa now hold top spot after a 4-0 win over Atlético San Sebastián, with Real Club de Polo a further point back. 

Despite a 2-2 draw with U.D. Taburiente, Club Egara managed to hold onto a narrow advantage for the fourth and final play-off position. 

League leaders C.D Terrassa also suffered their first defeat in the women’s competition, but the 3-1 loss to Real Sociedad didn’t drop them from top spot on the table. It only reduced their lead over their conquerors to six points after Real Sociedad climbed above Real Club de Polo and U.D Taburiente. Both teams recorded draws against opponents lower on the ladder to miss a good opportunity to solidify their semi final chances. 

Behind C.D. Terrassa, just one point separates positions two to five on a tightly-bunched points table. The draws by Real Club de Polo and U.D. Taburiente also allowed Junior F.C. to bridge the gap and move into play-off contention.
