THE HOCKEY WORLD LEAGUE

Are you ready to join the next round of competition that is making an impact on hockey worldwide? Welcome back to the Hockey World League!

This unique global league presents hockey at its best while providing opportunities for new talent and teams to shine and eager fans to get involved. 

The Hockey World League Season 2 has four rounds, running from July 2014 to December 2015. Each round acts as a qualifier for the next giving every team the potential to go all the way to the final.

With twelve qualification spots for the 2016 Olympic Games at stake, the Hockey World League promises epic clashes and breath-taking action leaving its mark on hockey around the world. Limits are tested and new talent unleashed. Only the strongest survive.

MAKING ITS MARK ON HOCKEY!

Providing new worldwide access to top-level hockey

Men’s and women’s teams from over 60 nations are battling to make their mark in the Hockey World League. For 19 of these nations the Hockey World League is their first introduction to FIH international competition. Throughout the season, over 2000 players will take to the pitch and the worldwide fan base will be treated to free online coverage whilst encouraged to participate in and around matches.

Producing new stars

The Hockey World League gives newcomers from the lower rankings the chance to go head-to-head with giants from the top. With more than 350 matches scheduled anything can happen as players and teams are inspired to make their mark by achieving beyond their expectations.

Creating new opportunities

A chance to test limits, the Hockey World League provides boundless opportunities: from World Cup qualification to worldwide hockey fame for players, fans and officials. Over 6000 caps will be accumulated during the first season and  teams are playing for ranking points for the first time. Over 300 officials will be involved and worldwide fans will be challenged to make their mark to win incredible prizes.

Building new excitement

Fast and furious, precise and powerful, hockey has it all. With speed, stamina and a mastery of intricate hand-eye coordination, hockey players are amongst the fittest and most skilled athletes in the world. The Hockey World League will generate over 500 hours of pure, adrenaline-filled hockey entertainment.
