India took seventh place with a controlled victory over Wales who ended eighth and took the one relegation place from the Champions Challenge. Poonam Rani got the Indians up and running before Anupa Barla’s sweetly struck effort and another from Ritu Rani extended the margin to three at half-time. Lily Chanu Mayengbam completed the scoring in the 47^th minute from the left side of the circle to end her side’s tournament on a high note.
