    India overwhelmed a valiant French team, 8-1, to earn its return to the Olympic Games. Canada finished the Hero FIH Road to London tournament on a high note, winning 4-3 against Poland to grab the bronze medal. Italy defeated Singapore, 5-0, for fifth place.  x 84  x 3 More

    India earned a hard fought 3-2 victory against Canada to top the standings with four wins. Poland did not push too much to beat Singapore 11-3, while France had its hands full breaking the Italian defence, in a 3-0 victory. More

    India defeated France, 6-2, in its first serious challenge of the competition. India is now the only team with three wins. Canada, France and Poland are tied at six points.     Iconic location provides backdrop on the eve of Olympic Qualifiers

    The team captains and trophies of the Hero FIH Road to London tournaments were presented at India Gate, an historical landmark downtown Delhi. The competitions will open on Saturday at Major Dhyan Chand National Hockey Stadium. The Captains of the six men’s teams and of the six women’s teams were in attendance and posed for the media with the coveted golden trophies.  x 7   More

    Preview - Men's Olympic Qualifier

    The Men’s Hero FIH Road to London tournament starts on Saturday in Delhi, with 6 teams fighting for a single ticket for the Olympic Games this summer in London. This is the first of 3 Olympic Qualifiers, with the next two in Dublin, Ireland (March 10 to 18) and Kakamigahara, Japan (April 26 to May 6). The three winners join the nine teams already qualified through the Continental Championships last summer to make up the group of twelve to compete in London.   More
