Ticket mania for London

So what does thousands of Euros/Pounds/Dollars worth of Olympic Hockey tickets look like? See for yourself.

The FIH has a certain number of tickets for each Olympics which are quickly doled out to the member national associations and the rest of the hockey family. But getting those tickets into the hands of their rightful owners is easier said than done.

First, there is the sheer weight of the tickets to consider. Second, there is the security of trusting that the tickets would make it to the FIH headquarters in Switzerland safely. So what is the solution? Sending a representative from the FIH to pick up the valuable bundle in London.

The procedure not only makes sense, but it is also insisted upon by the London Organizing Committee, which presumably has had its fair share of lost ticket claims in the lead-up to the Games.

From the FIH’s hands, the tickets were separated and mailed out to eager fans worldwide. What, no tickets have arrived in your mailbox, yet? Don’t look at us, although if your mailman goes on vacation in the next three weeks you’ll know who to blame!
